Love is in the air at Sedona Cake Couture. We've been busy all week making cookies and cakes! We are loving these cookies..... each one is uniquely individual ..... some are studded with sugar gemstones. And a Valentine Birthday cake extraordinaire!

Sedona Cake Couture WINS TLC's Ultimate Cake Off!!

WE WON ULTIMATE CAKE OFF!!!!

The team at Sedona Cake Couture was honored to be chosen to compete on TLC Channel's Ultimate Cake Off February 1,2010. The season's premier episode was a "Winter Wedding Cake" for a beautiful Korean couple. The cake had to be at least 5 feet tall - our winning cake came in at close to seven feet tall. Three teams of cake artists from around the country competed in the 9 hour competition. The prize - $10,000.00. We're thrilled!  Here are some pictures of our winning cake complete with blown sugar geese, strands of sugar gemstones, hand-made sugar peonies and roses.

Hot New Trend in Sedona Wedding Cakes - Sugar Shoes!

The bride wore white.. and a pair of fabulous red shoes! The cake artists at Sedona Cake Couture recreated perfect miniatures of Jennifer's shoes in sugar for the the wedding cake 

" topper".

The stunningly beautiful wedding of Jennifer Hanna and Adam Kempton took place at L'Auberge de Sedona on July 3rd, 2009. The incredible floral was done by eventsbyshowstoppers.com and the event perfectly co-ordinated by JB Bloomfield - sedonaluxuryweddings.com. We were honored to do this trendy new design in wedding cakes!

Sedona Cake Couture Loves Those Peony Wedding Cakes!

Another beautiful peony wedding cake from Sedona Cake Couture. The sugar peonies completely matched the bride's bouquet. This is truly a hot trend for wedding cakes here in Sedona, Arizona.

We loved the hot color combo of pink, orange and lime green.

Sedona Cakes - Peony Style!

It seems that our brides are in love with peonies this spring! This wedding cake is adorned with hand-made sugar peonies.

So many of our wedding cakes here in Sedona have been dressed with peonies lately. It's a trend that is still hot!

Indian Wedding Cakes by Sedona Cake Couture

We had the honor of creating these wonderful Indian wedding cakes at the Sedona wedding of Reshma Bhatka. Imagine - individual, 2 tiered wedding cakes placed on the center of each table on one of our fabulous crystal cake stands. Voila! A centerpiece! How much fun the guests had cutting their own wedding cakes! These Indian inspired cakes were designed with elements from the bride's traditional Indian wedding attire (close up photos here) The rich, vibrant jeweltone colors are beautiful and stand out. Each wedding cake at this Sedona wedding was a different combination of flavors. Needless to say, they were a hit!

Sedona Cake Couture's 3D Groom's Cake Trend

Gone are the days of the sheet cake with a design piped on it. Our brides and grooms here in Sedona want 3D!

And we are happy to oblige!

 Above is a custom Jeep cake created for a wedding in Sedona - every bit of it is edible. Inside was the moistest, most delectable chocolate cake you could imagine!

Okay, so he was a cowboy....but he had class! This cowboy hat grooms cake created by Sedona Cake Couture has a hand made sugar bolla that looks like real turquoise. Again, every bit of it was edible.

Yes, you guessed it. He was a photographer. And he loved his cake!! The beauty of oue weddings here in Sedona is that our brides and grooms tend to think outside the box. We love that about them!

Sedona Cake Couture Creates Luxury in Cakes!

The ultimate in luxury - a fabulous wedding cake with matching individual cakes for each guest! We are seeing a return of gold in weddings -  a soft, burnished gold which adds such a touch of elegance and timelessness. Gold, accented with dark chocolate is the new color palette.
All of the adornments are sugar - from the gold leaves to the gemstones. Inside was a scrumptious 3 layer concoction of dark chocolate, vanilla and Italian meringues with a crunchy almond praline filling. Yum!

Sedona Cake Couture's Thousand Sugar Flower Cake

Sedona Cake Couture had the honor of creating this 5'2" tall wedding cake for the reception of Rebecca Jean Francis and Keith Richard Galbut on Saturday, April 25th. With over 1000 sugar flowers between the seven tiers it was our tallest and most elaborate cake to date. The Catering manager of the Ritz Carlton called it a Rock Star Cake! Carefully transported in pieces from Sedona, the wedding cake was assembeled on site at the groom's parent's home in Paradise Valley. Thank you Becky and Keith for the opportunity to create this incredible cake and for including us in your joyous marriage. We wish you the best!
